YTF OVERALL RATING:

Our inaugural sojourn to the enchanting city of Bangkok was nothing short of a whirlwind of excitement and awe. The lively streets, the symphony of aromas from bustling food stalls, and the towering skyscrapers all contributed to an intoxicating experience that is uniquely Bangkok. However, as we navigated through this bustling urban tapestry, we came to realize that while Bangkok’s charm is undeniable, the constant hustle and bustle can sometimes prove overwhelming.

In the midst of this vibrant chaos, we were fortunate to find a haven that not only offered respite from the city’s frenetic energy but also seamlessly connected us to its myriad attractions – the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort. Nestled gracefully along the meandering Chao Phraya River, the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort presented itself as an oasis of calm within the heart of the bustling city. Our choice to make this luxurious sanctuary our home during our stay provided a serene contrast to the dynamic rhythm of urban life that surrounded us. Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort offers a seamless fusion between an idyllic retreat and easy access to Bangkok’s iconic landmarks, all facilitated by the network of waterways that crisscross the city.

Below is my Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort review. I hope it will provide helpful information to facilitate the choice of hotel for your next vacation. Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort review

THE STAFF: 5 STARS

Top notch. Friendly, polite, attentive, accommodative, resourceful, and knowledgeable. Anything you asked they either had an answer or quickly found someone that had the answer. When you first enter, you are greeted with a smile, and quickly disarmed of any bags that you deem you no longer want to carry for the rest of your stay. You are then checked in and escorted to your room where everything about the room is fully described to you. And if you missed anything they were a phone call away to assist with any and all of your needs.

HOTEL ROOM: 4 STARS

HOTEL ROOM REVIEWED

Deluxe Room

We stayed in one of their Deluxe Rooms. It was a standard room with no view (and unfortunately, there were no other rooms available with a better view or to request an upgrade) but it included all the amenities needed to have a relaxing stay. Key part of every room which the Anantara surprised us with was the free Wi-Fi/cellphone that we had at our disposal during our stay. This was probably the best idea I have seen from a hotel chain thus far. Shower in bathroom needs a stopper of some sort to stop water from leaker out to floors. (Beware, floors get slippery when wet!).

HOTEL GROUDS: 5 STARS

Amazing! You truly do not have to leave the hotel. Everything you need under one roof. Though venturing out is your goal, you wouldn’t be upset with being stuck at this establishment, a multitude of restaurants to server any person’s culinary pallet (Japanese, Polinesyan/Hawaiian, Chinese, Italian, Internaitonal, and Thai on Manohra Cruises). Gym, pools, live entertainment (including a poolside traditional dance performance at sunset), and great riverside view makes this place an ideal location during your stay in Bangkok.

HOTEL LOCATION: 5 STARS

Though the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort is not located in the center of where all the action is, rest assured. They have shuttle boats that take you across the river and land you right into the center of it all. Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort is also a 5-minute drive from new Krung Thon Buri Skytrain station.

OVERALL: 4.75 STARS

You can’t go wrong staying here! Try your best not to miss their lavish breakfast buffet that includes Thai, Japanese, Chinese as well as American and Continental options. You will regret it if you do!
