Is it just me, or did October fly by in the blink of an eye? I can’t believe it’s already November! Between settling into our new place, a couple of birthday getaways, and a serious medical scare with our beloved cat Mercuzio (thankfully he’s doing great now), we barely had time to enjoy any fall traditions.

So yesterday, we took a spontaneous road trip to Hudson, NY, stopping by a few of our favorite farms along the way. It felt good to finally soak in a bit of autumn. 🍂

Visiting @akshardhamusa is an experience like no other! #BAPSSwaminarayanAkshardham USA is a landmark of Hindu architecture and culture in Robbinsville, New Jersey, only 1 and a half hours away from NYC.

If you can, don’t miss the chance to visit this incredible place! After exploring the temple, save some time to stop by their gift shop, where you will find excellent products at very low prices!

When we went, we stocked up on natural hand-rolled incense sticks and natural supplements, but they also have beautiful coffee table books, statues, and much more! Also, indulge in some delicious all-vegetarian Indian food and stop by the supermarket for some traditional Indian treats!

Please keep in mind that visitors must reserve a free, timed slot for entry into the Akshardham on weekends, national holidays, and select Hindu festivals. This can be done easily on their official website or app. The temple is open daily from 9 AM to 7:30 PM. The campus is closed on Tuesdays.

It’s truly hard to believe that this magnificent place is only an hour and a half away from NYC! Located in Robbinsville, NJ, @akshardhamusa stands as the largest Hindu mandir in the United States and the second-largest Hindu mandir in the world, a testament to the grandeur of Hindu architecture and culture.

Construction of the magnificent BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir began in 2010. Crafted in the Nagaradi style, it used 68,000 cubic feet of Italian Carrara marble, meticulously carved by artisans in Rajasthan, India. The finished pieces were shipped to Robbinsville and assembled through sequential numbering, requiring around 4.7 million human hours from artisans and volunteers.
