Also known as the West Indies, the Caribbean primarily comprises the Greater and the Lesser Antilles and the Lucayan Archipelago. Other countries that are considered part of the Caribbean, not for their geographic position but for their cultural and, at times, their political ties/governs are Nicaragua, Belize, the regions of Colombia, Cozumel, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela, to name a few.
